Love Note from our Founder
My career as a leadership and innovation strategist led me to building a Clean Beauty Brand intentionally designed to solve superficial skin concerns that have been proven to hurt us deeply.
This journey is personal. My mother developed severe psoriasis later in her life, and watching her go through that, both physically and emotionally, stayed with me. It wasn’t just about the discomfort. It was seeing her feel disconnected from her own body, almost trapped in her skin. That experience shifted something in me. I became deeply curious, and honestly, a bit obsessed, with understanding skin, how it functions, how it heals, and how closely it’s tied to how we feel.
It wasn’t a straight path. There were countless hours of research and learning, some great decisions and some not-so-great ones, moments where I felt sure, and others where I questioned everything. But through all of it, one thing remained clear. I wanted to help people feel free in their skin.
The way I think, shaped by years of working in leadership and innovation, means I naturally approach things from a systems perspective. I brought that into Rae Illuminate. Instead of quick fixes, I think in layers, in processes, and in how everything connects.
Rae Illuminate was created from that place. It is about helping people feel at home in their bodies again, moving from discomfort to confidence, and ultimately, feeling fully present in their own skin.

At Rae Illuminate, our why begins with a simple, human truth: when your skin is not at its best, it can affect how you feel about yourself in ways that go deeper than the surface.
We saw a gap between products that deliver results and those that create meaningful emotional change. We created Rae Illuminate to bring both together through clean, research-informed body care that supports real skin concerns while encouraging intentional moments of care.
We exist to support skin affected by superficial inflammation, hyperpigmentation, and sensitivity, especially for those who have been underserved. But beyond that, we are here to create a deeper connection between skin health and overall wellbeing.
